How can we help?

Browse the topics below to learn how to get the most out of From Our Table and your AI kitchen companion, Sage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a recipe from a photo?
Go to Recipes → Add a Recipe and choose the Photo / PDF tab. Upload one or more photos of the recipe — Sage will read the text and fill in the form for you. For best results, use good lighting and keep the page flat. If your image contains multiple recipes, Sage will detect them all and let you choose which to import. See Sage AI → Photo & PDF Import for tips.
Can I import a recipe from a website?
Yes. Go to Recipes → Add a Recipe and choose the Import from URL tab. Paste the link and Sage will extract the recipe and save a copy — so even if the original site disappears, your recipe is safe. See Recipes → Adding from a URL.
How do I invite someone to my family?
Go to Family in the nav bar, then select Invite a member. Enter their email address and we'll send them an invitation. If they don't have an account yet, they'll be prompted to create one when they accept. See Family → Inviting Members.
What is Sage and what can it do?
Sage is your AI kitchen companion built into From Our Table. Sage can read recipes from photos and PDFs, suggest dishes that pair well with a recipe you're viewing, build a step-by-step cooking timeline for your event, and consolidate shopping lists across all your menu recipes. See all Sage features.
How do I generate a shopping list for a menu?
Open the menu, go to the Shopping List tab, and click Show. Sage will consolidate every ingredient across all your recipes, merge duplicates, group items by grocery department, and suggest practical retail quantities. See Menus → Shopping List.
Can I adjust how many servings a recipe makes?
Yes. On any recipe detail page, use the Servings control to increase or decrease the number of servings. All ingredient amounts scale automatically. You can also set per-recipe servings when adding a recipe to a menu. See Recipes → Adjusting Servings.
Who can see my recipes?
By default, recipes are visible only to members of your family. You can also share a recipe with other families on the site, or make it fully public — though only family owners can share publicly. See Recipes → Sharing.
Does Sage collect or store my data?
When you use Sage features, the relevant recipe or menu content is sent to Azure OpenAI to generate the response — it is not used to train AI models. Analytics data is only collected with your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
